Career Change Guide

Changing careers is one of the bravest and most common things people do. I did it myself, so I know the fear that comes with it.

Start by getting clear on why. Are you chasing better pay, better hours, more meaning, or just an escape from something that's not working? Your 'why' shapes everything.

Next, find the overlap. You're not starting from zero. The skills you've built transfer more than you think: reliability, communication, problem-solving, leadership.

Fill the gaps strategically. Sometimes a short course or certificate is all that stands between you and a new field. Government funding can often help.

Then tell the story. Your resume and cover letter need to connect your past to your future so it makes sense to an employer. That framing is where I come in.
